There are many different religions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Taoism, and more) that believe the reason people come into this world is to overcome suffering. They believe that we are reincarnated to learn from suffering through the steps of life: birth, aging, sickness, and death. Once one has overcome this cycle they can return to eternity. This process is the standard procedure for all humans. Knowing that all people have to deal with suffering in some way can help a person approach health in a more positive way. Though everyone must suffer at one time or another, there is no reason for a person to be obsessed with their suffering. In life, two major types of people exist. The first type is here to enjoy life. They are very optimistic and try to gain the most out of life. They don't bother to think about death and, because of this, they build up success in life. The second type believe that life is a kind of punishment. They feel that life is only suffering and everyday is just one day closer to death. For them, birthdays are something to be sad about instead of something to celebrate. Life is looked upon as a process of dying.
It is important to live life like the first type. How a person structures their attitude is very important to one's health. If one is pessimistic, they become depressed and jeopardize their health. It negatively impacts their internal balance by harming the circulation of blood and energy. This brings them even more worries and further weakens their health. Now, if a person is cheerful, it produces an inner state of harmony and balance. They are more robust and successful. It is really important to have a good attitude. Life should be looked upon as an achievement in itself. One way to think of life is as a vacation to a strange land given to you as a prize. Just like when you travel to a very exotic place, there are challenges you must overcome if you are to adapt to this new environment. Maybe they are not always easy, but they offer exciting ways to learn and develop new skills.
It is important to put things in perspective if one is to stay positive. When people have problems, they tend to become depressed. How can one get over this problem? By thinking positively. How does a person think positively? By seeing things in a good way. Everything can be seen in two ways: a good way or a bad way. For example, if you won the lottery, you could think, "AII right! I won the lottery. I can enjoy my life and not have to work." Or you could think, "Oh no! I won the lottery. Now people will be after my money and try to take advantage of me." One is positive, one is not. If you accept reality in a positive way then you will not jeopardize your internal harmony. No matter what, you need to think,"! want to strive for betterment. I want to do the best within my abilities." To do this, self-realization is very important. You need to know what are your limits, your strengths, and your weaknesses. Once you know this, then you know what the best you can do is. This doesn't mean that you must be content with only perfection, but you should always try to work for the best possible results. To do this, you don't look at the goal as much as you do the process of getting there. That should be a person's focus. Things should be worked on out of enjoyment, not for the purpose of suffering through it to get somewhere. Work should be looked upon as a way of serving the community, no matter what that work may be. Everyone contributes to the overall quality of life. When we find enjoyment in the work we do and its contribution to others, we do a better job and it makes it easier to come closer to the best we can do.
Some people may realize that it is important to be happy and do their best, but have trouble finding ways to develop a positive attitude for themselves. Many people who are sad or tense try to control their mind, but they need to realize that, if something goes into your mind, you shouldn't say, "I don't want it to be there"—it is too late, it's already there. This is a weakness and must be handled in the right way One way is with herbal/nutritional supplements which help harmonize one's system and resolve internal stress and so, make it feel more comfortable to accept a positive attitude. Another way is through personal understanding of one's self, so you can make yourself open to those experiences which do not create stress for you and avoid those ones that do. A final way is through willpower. When you focus your willpower, you will get what you focus on. If you think that you will never get through a challenge, then you never will. If you feel depressed and focus on being depressed all the time, then you will never feel happy. If you think about being cheerful or happy, you will feel better.
One way to feel better is to put things in perspective. In Chinese thought, everyone has a limited portion of luck in their life. If you sacrifice, then you will be rewarded in some other way. If you're lucky enough to gain things in life, then you will lose things in other ways. Life is a process of give and take. So whenever you are depressed, if you understand that your suffering is creating opportunities for you to learn and enrich yourself in ways you might not yet fully realize--it will make you feel better about things. In life, as long as you are not harming others you have nothing to worry about. What other people think about you doesn't matter. You simply need to be content with what you have and accept reality. For example, if you have an inherited disease or weakness, this is nothing to be sad about. It is reality and must be accepted if it is to be overcome or if you are to live the rest of your life in a healthy way. It is no one's hurt; not society's, not the parents', not the person's. It simply is the way it is and extra effort has to be made to address that weakness through specific herbal/nutritional supplements and a positive attitude. Just because you have a weakness, it does not mean it cannot be fixed; but first you have to accept it and put the extra effort into fixing it without blaming anyone. If there are any ways to improve a situation, then that is what you must do. If there are no ways to improve a situation, then don't worry about it because it doesn't matter. There's nothing you can do. Why worry? You can only do your best within your limited ability. If you have not done your best, it does not mean you should give up. You just need to put your focus on doing better and being happy about improving. Be prepared for the worst, hope for the best and strive for the betterment of everyone. This is the proper approach. If you approach things from the right way, you will always be young.
Health is everything. If you don't invest in your health, you are simply killing yourself day by day. In Chinese thought, you are born with a limited level of strength and immunity. As you begin the aging process, you begin to use that limited quantity of strength up and it cannot be regained--it can only be conserved through investing in your health, so you get more out of it for a longer period of time. Money isn't enough to buy health. Health comes from having the right attitude and properly dedicating enough attention to your body's unique needs. Chinese health philosophy focuses on preventative methods of keeping a person healthy. It is not only about identifying your weaknesses when you are ill in the hope of getting better. It is also about identifying your weaknesses before there is a problem and then putting extra energy into dealing with those weaknesses so they never have the opportunity to develop into a health problem.
We live this life for happiness, health, and success. It does not matter if your life is long or short. All that matters is that you make the best of your life with what you can make available to you. There is no point in thinking about death. Who knows what fate has in store for each of us? It is better to think about making your life filled with benefit and health, than worrying about putting off death. Death and illness are best avoided not by thinking about them, but by positively exploring new ways to improve your health. If you're healthy, you have no problems, even if you die tomorrow. The key to success in every stage of life is good health. Don't be so hard on yourself. You must always prepare, but be reasonable That is the key to a happy life.
